MLB – The American League Wins The All-Star Game

Posted on July 13, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

A three-run, third inning powered the American League to a 4 to 2 win over the National League in the 87th annual All-Star game in San Diego.

Kansas City Royals’ first baseman Eric Hosmer – who had a solo home run in that inning – was named the game’s MVP, after driving in 2 of the American League’s 4 runs.

The All- Star game win gives the American League the home field advantage in this year’s world series.

Miguel Cabrera had one at-bat in the All-Star game and struck out.

The Tigers are off now until Friday when they start a weekend series at Comerica Park with the Kansas City Royals.
