MLB – The Tigers Get A Rain-Shortened Win

Posted on July 22, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

Miguel Cabrera’s 5th inning solo home run was the game-winning hit for the Tigers… they downed the Chicago White Sox last night, 2 to 1, in a game that was shortened to 7 innings because of rain.

Starter Mike Pelfrey got the win – just his third of the year – after limiting the White Sox to just one run over five-and-a- third innings.

The series continues tonight in Chicago.

Michael Fulmer will take the mound for the Tigers and Chicago will start Jacob Turner.

The first pitch is scheduled for 8:10.
