College Basketball – Purdue Beats Michigan State – A Preview To March Madness Coming

Posted on January 25, 2017 in Sports News - Yooper & Michigan.

Sophomore forward Caleb Swanigan scored 25 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as he powered 20th ranked Purdue to an 84 – 73 win last night over Michigan State.

The loss is the fourth in the last five games for Michigan State, who drop to 12 and 9 on

the season, 4 and 4 in big ten play.

‘March Madness’ will arrive a month earlier than usual this year.

That’s because – according to reports – Michigan State Athletic Director Mark Hollis – the

head of the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee – will unveil on February 11th an ‘early, in-season’ look at where the top 16 teams are seeded.

The early peek is being done to stoke fan interest in the tournament which begins on March 14th.
